INPE, a High-Quality Brazilian Institution Providing Support for Space Activities

Our CEO, Aila Raquel, along with HKATG’s VP, Mr. Chai, our consultant, Dr. Osamu Saotome, and our board member, Dr. Lester de Abreu, visited INPE, the National Institute for Space Research.

Our first visit was to the control center, where we confirmed that Brazil is highly competent in this sector, having initiated its space activities more than 30 years ago. INPE currently operates a satellite in orbit that has been fully operational for 30 years. We would like to express our gratitude to Elias (operations manager) and Francisco (satellite and debris controller) for their warm welcome at the satellite control center, where we could sense their great enthusiasm and passion for their work.

This demonstrates that Brazil has a wealth of expertise in this field, starting with our consultant, Dr. Osamu, who participated in the integration of the first satellite at ITA (Aeronautics Institute of Technology), an institution that trains engineers in all areas of engineering related to space activities.

Following the visit to the satellite control center, we toured the LIT (Integration and Test Laboratory). It is an incredible laboratory equipped with a wide range of tools for conducting various types of tests on satellites and antennas, suitable for satellites of any size, including our satellites, which range in mass from 100 to 300 kg.
