The inauguration of SENAI CIMATEC AEROSPACE – BAHIA!
Aila Raquel and Hong Kong Aerospace VP visited CIMATEC Salvador, exploring advanced facilities and discussing plans for Alya’s satellite command center at Salvador air base, along with a ground station at Cimatec Park in Camaçari for controlling their initial 108-satellite constellation.
Aila Raquel, CEO of Alya Space, accompanied by HKATG’s VP Mr. Chai and consultant Olany, visited the Brazilian Space Agency in Brasília. They met with key figures, including Dr. Marco Antonio Chamon, the President of the Brazilian Space Agency. The meeting focused on presenting Alya Space’s projects in Brazil, emphasizing the deployment of a satellite constellation, control center, ground stations, and educational areas.
The visit highlighted Brazil’s significant expertise in space activities, with a fully operational satellite in orbit for over 30 years managed by INPE. The tour included the satellite control center, where the team appreciated the dedication of the staff. Dr. Osamu’s background in satellite integration at ITA showcased Brazil’s longstanding proficiency.
São José dos Campos is a city that breathes aerospace; it hosts numerous facilities for the space sector, such as the SJC Technology Park, housing some sectors of the Brazilian Space Agency and the Aerospace Cluster of Brazil.
Alya Space visits Sorocaba Technology Park for antenna placement. The warm welcome from Park President Nelson Cancellara and an insightful tour with Innovation Manager Andre further solidify support for this collaborative mission, with potential impact across Brazil’s space sector.
